Yesterday, Harry Reid released a statement: “Senator Reid supports Senator Burris’ decision to cooperate with all appropriate officials who may review this matter, including state agencies and the Senate Ethics Committee.” It really should have been applauding his decision to resign (a move both the Chicago Tribune and the Washington Post urge). Democrats have got to want this senatorial nightmare to be over.
