But every appearance of the President’s that I’ve seen in the last six months has shown him to be confident and relaxed, and to have a command of the issues that I would not have thought possible four years ago. Add to that his natural likeability and honesty, and Kerry is going to have a hard time gaining ground in these debates. I know Kerry is, supposedly, a formidable debater, but he can only score so many points when he’s on the wrong side of almost every issue. Rather than trimming President Bush’s lead, I think he’s going to tank, and I suspect that as of Thursday evening this campaign will be over.”
