Call Me Paranoid, But The Enemy Is Everywhere

Jonah, you joke about dogs developing thumbs. “What if?” we think with a little smile. Our dogs could text message! It’s funny.

But what if it isn’t funny. What if it’s not funny, Jonah? What if it’s birds instead of dogs and the ability to secrete a deadly chemical instead of a useful digit?

From the Washington Post: “A bird species found in some parts of Western Alaska is believed to emit a natural mosquito repellent with properties similar to DEET, the key ingredient in many commercial repellents.”

Alaska? Interesting.
