The House Republicans are finally calling the bluff. People who are slightly or seriously skeptical of sending hundreds of billions of dollars more to Ukraine often bring up questions about priorities: Why won’t Senator McConnell fund $14 billion for border protection but will send many times that to Ukraine?
The retort is usually something like, “We can walk and chew gum at the same time.”
House Republicans have put the Senate on notice: Send us a bill with walking and chewing gum at the same time.
