Can ICE Operate Anywhere Now Without Encountering Resistance?

If we get to a place where most ICE raids meet resistance, I’m guessing Trump will end up militarizing them, i.e., using the military to provide protection. We are in the opening phase of what will probably be a titanic clash over whether the federal government can enforce the immigration laws or not.
