“Not only is Gen. Petraeus a really bright guy, he knows to surround himself with smart folks. There is a whole Princeton mafia in the Social Sciences faculty up at West Point (active duty guys with Ph.D.’s and M.P.A.’s from the Woodrow Wilson School.) When Petraeus found out that he was going to be running Mosul, he flew a number of these West Point faculty members to advise him on the rebuilding project.”
