Cantor On Iran

A junior member of the House GOP leadership says that recent IAEA statements about Iran’s potential ability to make an atomic bomb mean that “Israel might be justifiably forced to act in its own self-defense by preemptively attacking Iran.”

In a letter to Condoleeezza Rice, Rep. Eric Cantor says the “failures” of the IAEA to prevent nuke material from falling into Iran’s hands “has placed the world in danger” and that “we are only months away from a nuclear capable Iran.”

“Furthermore, I believe the failure of the IAEA to disarm Iran has creates situation in which Israel might be justifiably forced to act in its own self-defense by preemptively attacking Iran.”

Cantor (R-VA) is the House GOP chief deputy whip and the only Jewish Republican in the House.
