Carney Dismisses Benghazi as ‘Fake Controversy’​

Jay Carney dismissed Republicans’ concerns over the 9/11 attacks on Benghazi and the administration’s handling of them last night. For the benefit of CNN’s multilingual viewers, he called it both a “fake” and “faux controversy” in an interview with Piers Morgan.

He later said that he rejected the premise that the White House was embroiled in any scandals at the moment, calling Benghazi “a Republican concoction.”
