Don’t I have any riposte to Cathy Seipp’s scandalous assault on the noble art of algebra, asks a reader? Especially considering I have a book on the subject forthcoming?

Well, it’s not a perfect fit (though not as bad a one as you might think–geometry is nowadays, at the higher levels, tackled algebraically), but in situations like this I generally fall back on: “Ageometrytos mydeis eisito.”
