The Case for Paul Ryan

I make the case for drafting him for Speaker over at Bloomberg View.

Paul Ryan keeps ruling himself out as the next speaker of the House. He keeps doing it because he really doesn’t want the job, at least right now. He keeps having to do it because he’s the most logical choice for it.

Right after the column posted, I spoke to a congressman I hadn’t heard from in a while. “In my opinion there’s only one person left who can do the job and that’s Paul. Paul Ryan. That’s where we’re at.”
