The Case For Tony Blair

On the orther hand, when it comes to the big, global questions, Blair is undeniably astute and quite possibly, in this age of midgets, the Greatest Statesman of the Age. Having been a firm believer in climate change alarmism, he has realized that he cannot square the circle and reconcile the Kyoto approach with economic growth. In a major statement yesterday he essentially consigned Kyoto to history after 2012, calling for “a better, more sensitive set of mechanisms to deal with this problem.” His remarks about the Kyoto approach making people “very nervous and very worried” are clearly references to developing nations. As such, he has championed them against the neo-imperialists of Europe and the pressure groups like Greenpeace. For this at least, he deserves a medal (oh, wait…)
