In Case You Missed It: VDH Makes a Plea

Why contribute to National Review Online?

NRO offers free and instantaneous commentary on the week’s, the day’s, and very often the minute’s controversies. There is no party-line take on unfolding events. The mishmash of libertarians, social conservatives, blue-dog Democrats, independents, paleoconservatives, neocons, religious traditionalists, atheists, and doctrinaire Republicans who contribute to NRO ensures a wide-variety of views, to say the least. It also provides a blood-sport amusement for liberals, who seem to log on each morning in increasing numbers. The website surely must be one of the most widely read news venues in the country. It also must rank among the most poorly funded.

In an age of incompetents and miscreants earning mega-million-dollar bonuses on Wall Street, and congressional overseers who snooze through financial impropriety, National Review Online is an institution that is as cost-effective as it is above-board and deserving of the public’s support, which it re-earns each day.
