Just to re-emphasize, we imagine this debate with the editors of the Wall Street Journal as an old-school Firing Line-style debate in a public setting with a chance to engage at length on the substance. Segments on TV and radio are nice, but not a substitute for his kind of forum. We think it could be a major event, generating lots of interest and elevating a debate that sometimes gets stuck on sound-bites on both sides. In addition, it would be a heck of a lot of fun. Here’s hoping the Journal guys are up for it, which they should be if they take seriously what they say about our side being irrational and bereft of arguments.
