Krauthammer’s Take: George W. Bush ‘Holds Trump in Contempt’

Charles Krauthammer says George W. Bush is seeking to “separate the party” from Donald Trump:

[With Trump as the nominee, I see the Republicans] probably losing [the majority] in the Senate, probably holding it in the House.

Look, they have a nominee who they think is going to really hurt the down-ticket Republicans. I think they are probably right. They’re each running their own campaigns — that can’t be done very well.

And I think with Bush, it’s a matter of personal revenge – which I think he’s entitled to – and principle. I think he holds Trump in contempt, and I think he wants to separate the party from him.
