Ken Thomas over at No Left Turns notes that GK Chesterton stood in distinction to the Progressive era of Teddy Roosevelt. No argument here. I just thought I’d note that Chesterton’s Eugenics and Other Evils is, by my lights, the greatest proof of his anti-Progressives credentials. Then again, I’ve never read What I Saw in America (which Thomas cites), so it might just be second best.
