So now Chris Matthews has told us that the word “Chicago” is racist. I realize that every single word out of a Republican’s mouth is racist, including “and” and “the” — but “Chicago,” in particular?
When I think of Chicago, I think of the Daleys, Georg Solti, the Sears Tower, Al Capone, Mrs. O’Leary, and Ernie Banks.
