Yes, we saw it. No, it’s not the greatest movie ever. But it made my girl happy. What else did it need to do?
Biggest gripe: The trailer had that huge musical number that every child in the country has been buzzing about for months. Yet there was nothing really like it in the movie. Even the version in the credits was cut short. If they had that scene in the actual movie it’d be like that moment in O Brother Where Art Thou? where the audience realizes the Soggy Bottom Boys are about to play, only with little kids leaping to their feet:
