As many may have surmised, I am a China skeptic. That doesn’t mean I don’t think it is a hugely important player on the world stage or that it doesn’t merit American attention and concern. But the China-is-our-model chorus lead by Tom Friedman is utterly unconvincing to me. Anyway, I thought this was one of the best don’t-believe-the-hype pieces I’ve read in a long time.
