Choc It Up

If I could pick a single member of the House to save from next week’s election results, it would be Rep. Chris Chocola of Indiana–a Republican in a district that appears to be leaning Democratic. He has been a real leader on budget reform in Congress, along with Jeb Hensarling of Texas and Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. His district includes the campus of Notre Dame; he is a graduate of Hillsdale College. Conservatives need him back.

John J. Miller, the national correspondent for National Review and host of its Great Books podcast, is the director of the Dow Journalism Program at Hillsdale College. He is the author of A Gift of Freedom: How the John M. Olin Foundation Changed America.
