Here’s NJ governor Chris Christie’s interview with NBC News’ Brian Williams. It’s good stuff. Christie defends his decision to tentatively axe the ARC tunnel, “taking a deep bow” for drawing the ire of the New York Times’ editorial board. He gives a mixed review to President Obama (“he doesn’t do angry well”), and he pushes back on the idea that he’s spent too much time out of state campaigning for GOP candidates.
The best part, though, may be when the two “Jersey kids” talk Springsteen. I can say, as a Jersey kid from another generation, that listening to Born to Run for the first time in 1996 had the same effect as it did for Williams and Christie in 1975. (Although, Darkness on the Edge of Town might be the superior record.)
