New Jersey governor Chris Christie isn’t a fan of Ted Cruz and conservatives’ plan to try to prevent a government-spending bill that funds Obamacare. “I think it is always irresponsible if you are running the government to be advocating for shutting it down,” he told CBS in an interview. “That by definition is a failure.”
The 2016 contender made clear which side of the intra-Republican feud he comes down on: “I don’t think you hear responsible Republican leaders advocating a shutdown of the government.”
