CNN reports on the comments. At Hot Air, Allahpundit discusses the politics, noting that many Republican voters are skeptical of trade in general and the NAFTA in particular. I’m not entirely sure Christie meant to signal to those voters that he’s on their side, since his comments as reported were pretty vague. If that was his intent, I don’t follow Christie’s strategy. I suspect that there is not much overlap between Republicans who oppose NAFTA and Republicans who agree with Christie that the retirement age should increase.
