Christie Won’t Face Booker as Dem Opponent

Newark mayor Cory Booker, who many had thought would run against Chris Christie in the 2013 governor’s race, is now looking to run for Senate in 2014, reports NBCNews4. Polls had shown Christie with a lead over Booker; it’s possible the popularity Christie’s enjoyed after welcoming President Obama to the state after Sandy was the final straw for Booker.
