While appearing on a slew of morning shows Wednesday morning to coincide with his upcoming TIME cover, it turned out New Jersey Governor Chris Christie wasn’t too happy with the photo the magazine chose. On Don Imus’ show, Christie joked that he was going to report TIME to the “anti-Italian defamation league,” while Imus compared him to TV mob boss Tony Soprano. Christie also shared what Imus privately told him after his election victory in 2009.
