Chuck and Nancy or Nancy and Chuck?

Far be it from me to castigate the forces of wokeness and purveyors of problematics. But it seems to me that the people who get mad at everything should be mad about the fact that most pundits and reporters use the phrasing “Chuck and Nancy” rather than “Nancy and Chuck.” A quick Google search finds roughly 6.5 million results for “Chuck and Nancy” but under half a million “Nancy and Chuck” results. Google News has over 38,000 results for “Chuck and Nancy” but only eight thousand and change for “Nancy and Chuck.”

It seems to me that Pelosi should get top billing. After all, she outranks Schumer politically and in the line of succession to the presidency. She is the speaker of the House, he is merely the Senate minority leader.

In fact, I think President Trump should follow a path of dividing the enemy, as it were. He should refer to “Nancy and her team,” “Nancy and her friend,” or “Nancy and that guy from the thing or the place.”
