Mitt Romney has the lead in Ohio and trails narrowly in Wisconsin, according to a new poll for the Republican group Citizens United.
Romney leads Obama by 49 to 46 percent in Ohio, according to the poll, and trails Obama in Wisconsin by 49 to 47 percent, according to polling first obtained by The Hill.
Unfortunately, there are no partisan breakdowns given for the poll sample, so it’s tough to know why exactly this poll is such an outlier from other Ohio polls that show Romney lagging. (Would be fascinating to know if the sample was less Democrat-leaning than others.) And it’s another sign that Wisconsin is definitely a battleground state this cycle.
