CNN Hires Content Thief

Social media rewards and incentivizes the worst behavior. The more outrageous, the more conspiratorial, the more dishonest, the more malicious — it doesn’t matter which side you’re on — the better one seems to do on these platforms. Take the recent hiring of former NBA player Rex Chapman by CNN+, the cable network’s new streaming service. Chapman’s media star didn’t rise because he’s especially thoughtful or funny, or even because he might have an inspiring story to tell about overcoming addiction to painkillers or a criminal past. No, Chapman built an audience of a million followers largely by being an unapologetic content thief and regurgitating the most predictable and witless conservative-bashing.
