CNN Panel Laughs at State Dept.’s Struggle to Name Hillary’s Accomplishments

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki’s inability to name an achievement from Hillary Clinton’s tenure had a CNN panel in stitches. During a press briefing yesterday, Psaki struggled to name a specific accomplishment, and instead directed a reporter elsewhere.

After playing a clip of Psaki’s exchange, Politico’s Juana Summers and the Washington Post’s Nia-Malika Henderson are heard laughing.

“That should not be a surprise question, should it?” a stunned John King asked.

“It shouldn’t have been a surprising question,” Summers said. “Having an answer like that, that’s one for the reels of Republicans.”

Henderson posited that Psaki’s reluctance to praise Clinton is the result of remaining tension stemming from the 2008 Clinton-Obama primary.
