CNN senior political analyst David Gergen said tonight that, in the fiscal cliff negotiations thus far, the Democrats are “really trying to rub it in and almost humiliate the Republicans.” He went on to say that he finds the rhetoric among some Democrats – those who are suggesting we go over the cliff and postpone negotiations until next year – “disturbing.”
