Coleman’s Call

Norm Coleman’s team just held a conference call reiterating their intentions to appeal to the state supreme court. They will do so within ten days of the final ruling that will be forthcoming from the three-judge panel that has been hearing the case — that could come any day.

Coleman’s team expects the state supreme court to be more open to arguments about problems with the system itself — for example, different standards used for counting absentee ballots from county to county, and problems with counting ballots (duplication) on election night. But this doesn’t change the fact that Coleman is now down by more than 300 votes, and that much further away from any chance of winning.
