When push comes to shove, there aren’t many Republican senators who are really willing to be the couple of votes to take down a major party initiative. Susan Collins is one of them (Ron Johnson and Steve Daines, opposed to the bill in its current form, almost certainly aren’t). So it’s important that Collins is sounding favorable to the bill:
