The Corner

Come One, Come All

Next week — Tuesday, Jan. 31, 6 pm — I’ll be speaking in Washington, D.C. at Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center, which is across the street from the Heritage Foundation. The subject is the importance of football in American culture and the role Teddy Roosevelt played in the sport’s development a century ago. The event is open to the public and will take place without commercial interruption. Details here.

John J. Miller, the national correspondent for National Review and host of its Great Books podcast, is the director of the Dow Journalism Program at Hillsdale College. He is the author of A Gift of Freedom: How the John M. Olin Foundation Changed America.
