Krauthammer’s Take: On the Comey Ouster, Nobody Is Worth Believing

https://youtube.com/watch?v=x3DICMWvpWI

Charles Krauthammer argued that no one in the wake of FBI director James Comey’s firing has done an exemplary job:

Nobody here has distinguished themselves. I agree the media coverage has been quite appalling. They have this narrative that there is a conspiracy they are trying to cover up – this obviously was a Russian inside job, the Trump campaign had collaborated, and thus all of this. But you have to say the administration has not distinguished itself either. The statement from Sarah Huckabee: “I don’t think there ever was an attempt to pin the decision on the deputy attorney general” – it’s in the damn letter that the president wrote! The one that went out that announced the firing. It said he’s responding to the recommendation of the attorney general. That was their story, that’s what came out. We went on the air within minutes on Tuesday; that was the story all night long: He was responding to a recommendation. And now it’s completely undermined when the president said, “I was going to do it anyway.” So, who to believe? Nobody.
