Coming to America

To plumb the depths of our current administration’s stupidity, folly, and dereliction of responsibility in the matter of border security is probably beyond the ability of mere mortals.  You can get a glimpse of them, though, by reading this editorial in Science magazine while simultaneously holding in your mind the facts that a million or so foreigners sneak to the U.S. in or overstay their visas every year, while unknown thousands more of dubious background are waved in on student visas to feed the hungry maw of the higher-education rackets.
