Comparisons, Comparisons

The Bristol Palin story has caused a lot of us conservatives to make comparisons. We’re saying, “Compare how the media are handling this with how they handled that.” We’ve heard about John Edwards and Jesse Jackson. (“How come the media didn’t care about their birth-control techniques, when they were tom-cattin’ around?”) We’ve heard about Al Gore III. (“How come his arrest didn’t spark a national conversation about kids, parents, and pot?”) And I have heard rather a lot — from readers at their keyboards this morning — about Barack Obama’s brother, living in his African hovel. (“Where’s the brotherly love, you know?”)

Anyway, I imagine the list will grow . . .
