Rep. Jo Ann Davis (R-Va.) has died of breast cancer. From Rep. Adam Putnam (R-Fla.):
“When Jo Ann was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, no one would have blamed her had she chosen to retire, but instead she pressed on, continued to serve with distinction the people of the Commonwealth and the country she loved, and beat the disease.
“After Jo Ann’s cancer re-occurred earlier this year, she courageously took the same path.”
