The Corner

From a Connecticut Voter

Last night, I lost sleep thinking about the possible outcomes of a Democratic Primary for the first time in my life. With the exception of a few governor’s races, my state has an abysmal voting record. Weiker, Dodd, Lieberman, Clinton, Clinton again, Gore, Kerry… it’s like a horrible nightmare that never goes away. My sleeplessness and pounding headache only got worse by the minute thinking about our Senatorial situation going from simply horrible to embarrassingly pathetic. I once told Joe Lieberman at a political event that my favorite part of the 2000 elections, other than Bush winning, was that I got to vote against him twice. Now, he’s by far the best man in the race and it’s just sad. The only things that made me feel better were dreaming about moving to a small ranch in Texas, and tuning in to the Corner this morning. So thank you for that…
