Kathryn: Reading Jay Nordlinger’s “Impromptus” this morning, I was struck
by the resemblance between Zell Miller’s explanation for why he won’t become
a Republican (down at the end of Jay’s piece) and my own stock answers when
people ask me why I don’t go over to Rome.
