The Continuum Of Humannness

Andrew Sullivan, in a comment on the Spanish debate about conferring legal rights on animals, and as per the ongoing discussion about humans-as-machines vs. humans-as-transcendent, says that “science won’t allow” us to see humans as categorically different from other animals.  If he means by this that science has not discovered such a difference, then I think he is correct.  But if he is making the statement that science disproves such a categorization, then I believe he is mistaken.  I went into the reasons in an article for NRODT on Darwin and theism.
