Eleven days is a long time in politics, but today brought some convergence in the polls and some good news for the Romney campaign. Gallup, Rasmussen, and ABC/WaPo have Mitt Romney leading President Obama by three points nationally, 50-47. The Associated Press has Romney leading by two points, 49-47. There is, obviously, no such thing as a “national vote” in a federal system — and Romney still has a lot of work to do in the handful of swing states that will decide the election — but this is the most agreement we’ve seen for a long time, and it shows a president still unable to move beyond a 47 percent share of the support with less than two weeks to go until D-Day.
