Cornyn: Obama’s Jobs Policy Sidelines Investors

Sen. John Cornyn (R., Tex.), a member of the Senate Budget and Finance Committees, tells NRO that President Obama’s jobs plan will create more economic uncertainty for many Americans, not less. “Government intervention and takeover is creating a climate where job creators and investors are sitting on the sidelines rather than risk guessing wrong about which direction the federal government intends to go,” he says.

Cornyn adds that Obama “truly believes that more government spending is the key to economic prosperity and job creation.” That belief, he says, has led the president to an irrational economic policy. “The president is doubling down on spending after spending clearly failed to meet his stated purpose earlier this year.”
