On the latest Need to Know, Mona Charen and I welcome a guest, Peter Wallison — a guru on the 2008 crash and much else. I have read him for years, in one authoritative piece after another. He speaks in an interview with no less authority. Would that he were in an important governmental role, right this second!
Later in the podcast, Mona and I talk about a slew of issues: Rand Paul and his presidential candidacy; the University of Michigan and American Sniper (and Paddington!); Mitt Romney and the NCAA basketball tournament.
I bring up a minor pet peeve of mine (not in the top thousand, but maybe in the top 50K): endless conservative affection for Daniel Patrick Moynihan. They sort of forget everything that happened after 1975, when he was U.N. ambassador. His 25 years in the Senate don’t really matter. Life stopped in 1975.
Anyway, remembering the best about someone is a nice quality . . .
Mona and I bewail our current president — and I bewail the people who elected him — and we have a few fond memories of WFB. Again, the link is here.
