Tonight’s Republican debate opened with Megyn Kelly asking about Donald Trump’s absence. After thanking Iowans for their hospitality, Sen. Cruz proceeded to call his competitors “stupid, fat, and ugly.” Then, turning to Dr. Carson, Cruz said, “And Ben, you’re a terrible surgeon.”
“Now that we’ve gotten the Donald Trump portion of the debate out of the way,” Cruz joked, turning back to his introduction.
