Cruz: Obama Left Millions ‘Out in the Cold’

Senator Ted Cruz said the most disappointing aspect of President Obama’s State of the Union address was his refusal to acknowledge the millions of Americans who have lost their existing health-insurance plans under Obamacare.

“Throughout the entire hour-plus-long speech there was no acknowledgement that the Obama economic policies are not working,” Cruz told reporters. “What was particularly striking is he did not say a single word to the over 5 million Americans who’ve lost their health insurance because of Obamacare . . . He left them out in the cold.”

“He promised the American people, ‘If you like your health-insurance plan, you can keep your health-insurance plan; if you like your doctor, you can keep you doctor,’” Cruz said. “Those promises were false. The American people trusted him, they relied on him.”
