Shortly after Senate majority leader Harry Reid appeared on the Senate floor on Wednesday in the closing minutes of Ted Cruz’s marathon speech, the two began to spar over when Cruz would “yield the floor.”

Reid requested that Arizona senator John McCain be given 15 minutes to speak after noon; Cruz, over 20 hours into his speech, repeatedly responded that, according to Senate rules, his time expired at noon, rendering the question moot. As Cruz tried to push forward with his closing remarks, Reid interrupted with parliamentary inquiries. For a dizzying display of parliamentary procedure, watch the whole thing.
