According to a new poll of Texas Republican voters, former Texas solicitor general Ted Cruz, who National Review called “the next great conservative hope” in the last issue –

– has climbed into a statistical dead heat with establishment-Republican candidate Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, despite the fact that the latter has a tremendous cash advantage.
