The networks last night all covered a hearing of the House Government Reform and Oversight subcommittee requested by moonbat Rep. Cynthia McKinney on the alleged racism in the response to Hurricane Katrina. McKinney ranted on the House floor this fall that “As I saw the African-Americans, mostly African-American families ripped apart, I could only think about slavery, families ripped apart, herded into what looked like concentration camps.” The hearing had the same tone yesterday, with black witnesses comparing the Katrina aftermath to concentration camps. Brent Baker has more here.
Notice how two networks completely whitewash the wacky charges witnesses made at the hearing, that the levees were bombed, and the government response was akin to genocide or the Holocaust, which steamed Rep. Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) The standard AP dispatch led with that, but not the networks. ABC, for one, picked up the racism angle again this morning, with two of yesterday’s witnesses on “Good Morning America.” The interview was taped and edited.
