Chicago mayor Richard Daley (D.), who has served in that office since 1989, has announced that he will not run for re-election, saying it is “time to move on.”
Next stop: Mayor Emanuel?
UPDATE: A “senior White House official” tells WaPo’s Chris Cillizza that “”I’d be shocked if [Emanuel] doesn’t run.”
The filing deadline is Nov. 22.
