Dangerous Third-Party Talk

A reader on my Facebook page writes in response to my column this week on Tony Perkins, Michael Steele and dangers in the political air:

No one wants to be seen as a toadie for the Republican Party. What this leads to, though, is a lot of conservative leaning folks who rightly oppose big government liberalism but falsely claim that there isn’t a “dime’s worth a difference” between the two parties. If one’s actions follow this sentiment in the form of voting third party then one becomes an enabler of that very thing they despise: big government liberalism. Hate to sound so harsh but if in 2012 Obama is re-elected then I don’t want to hear the complaints of those who made a conscious decision to vote third party.
