The Corner

Daniel Larison

is a smart blogger, but this post strikes me as foolish. I disagree with a lot in the post, but especially the bit about my wife. If my political views were determined by her employment in the House Republican leadership, I wouldn’t have written an op-ed for the New York Times arguing that there would be silver linings for conservatives from a Republican loss of the House this fall. And the alternative I would be urging to Derbyshire’s advice to stay home on Election Day wouldn’t be to discriminate among Republicans, but rather to vote for all of them.
